NIT Rourkela is an institute of national importance and has taken a giant step towards contributing to a noble welfare activity, i.e. Establishing a Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) at NIT Rourkela (NITR) Campus. It has started its journey as an institute under institute of higher learning sector in Nov.2023. Initially the school has started in a temporary building within one of the sections of Technology Innovation, Incubation, and Research Building (TIIR Building). It is envisaged to promote school education under the administrative control of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangatan, Ministry of Education Govt. Of India. It has a direct and positive impact on society since it contributes towards building schools for all sections of society, promoting social justice and inclusivity.
